Socialite Jasmine Hartin has given just £1,792 to the family of a Belize police chief she shot dead – and now they are demanding she pay 'true compensation'.

But Hartin, 33, is fighting to get her passport back so she can flee the central American country and see her six-year-old twins for the first time in a year.

Last night her spokeswoman suggested Hartin, who shares the twins with Tory grandee Lord Ashcroft's son Andrew, was a conspiracy victim and demanded 'justice for Jasmine'.

The widow and six children of her victim, Superintendent Henry Jemmott, 42, insisted she cough up more – and expressed grave concern about letting her leave Belize.

Leslie Mendez, lawyer for Supt Jemmott's widow Romit Wilson, 39, said: 'Jasmine continues to pitch herself as the victim in this case where six children lost their father, a woman lost her partner of 13 years and sisters lost their brother.
