Rep. Lauren Boebert claims that she skipped out of 'protest' the House vote on passing the debt ceiling deal Speaker Kevin McCarthy struck with President Joe Biden – but new video shows otherwise.
A video from a CNN reporter outside the Capitol Wednesday night captured the Republican Colorado congresswoman running up the stairs to try and make the vote in time.
'They just closed it,' someone is heard informing Boebert off-camera as the comes into frame running up the front stairs of the Capitol.
'They closed it?' she questioned as she paused to turn around, before continuing to run when it was confirmed she could no longer vote on the measure.
The bill was passed in a 314-117 vote. There were four no votes, Boebert being one of them. It then went on to pass the Senate and was promptly signed by Biden.
