With summertime officially underway, there are a number of places to celebrate Pride in 2023 across the UK. 

From events in London and Brighton to Manchester and Blackpool, there is something for everyone across the country to celebrate Pride this summer. 

But when exactly are the events? What has been planned for them? Are there still tickets available for your local pride event?

Pride events in June 2023

Blackpool Pride will be the first of four huge summer events to celebrate the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender +) LGBT+ community in the UK. 

The main event in Blackpool, which features over eight hours of entertainment, will take place on Princess Parade, which spans the promenade alongside the seafront. 

A parade will be held along the promenade, beginning at 10am on Saturday June 10 2023. Entertainment will be headlined by Russell Small & Katherine Ellis with  Freemasons, Alex Party and Nicki French also among those performing on the day. 

Tickets are still available to purchase for the event, starting from £13.75 for general admission. Tickets for 11-17-year-olds are priced at £3.30, with free entry permitted for children under 11. 

Pride events in July 2023

Pride in London, the flagship LGBT+ event held every year in the city, will take place on Saturday July 1 in 2023. 

Proceedings will get underway from around midday at Hyde Park Corner, with the grandstand in Haymarket opening from about 11.30am for viewers.  

Theatre, dance, art, and cinema events, showcasing the work and achievements of the LGBT+ community in these cultural fields, will be held throughout the day. 

Soho will host evening events and parties, with pubs, bars and clubs throughout the city doing likewise to celebrate Pride in London 2023. 

The annual event involves an estimated 30,000 participants, attracting 1.5 million visitors from across the globe, certifying its status as one of the largest pride festivals in the UK. 

A pride flag is waved during the York pride festival on June 3, 2023. This will be followed by Blackpool Pride, which will commence at 10am on Saturday June 10 2023
