Annastacia Palaszczuk has divulged the deeply painful details of her own miscarriage as she responded to a Queensland woman's horrific hospital experience.
The Queensland Premier spoke about the harrowing moment she suffered a miscarriage during questioning about allegations a woman was left traumatised by the treatment she received at Ipswich hospital following a painful miscarriage.
Ms Palaszczuk told the Today Show she knew 'exactly what it's like' as she was interrogated over why the expectant mother was allegedly made to wait hours while bleeding and clinging to her fetus in a biohazard bag at the hospital west of Brisbane.
A full review has now been ordered into Nikkoke Southwell's treatment at the hospital.

'I have also had a miscarriage... I do know exactly what it's like,' she said.
'It is horrific and stays with you for the rest of your life.
'I had it in my house and I went to work, I was completely in shock and then I thought I'd better see my specialist and he said "I don't think you should be at work, you should be at home".'
