Leeton crash: Dean Cluney hit with more domestic violence charges trends now
The boyfriend of a mother who died in a horror crash alongside her two sons and nephew moments after he allegedly 'broke into her home and threatened her' has been slapped with additional domestic-violence related charges.
Tania Murphy, 36, was driving along Research Road in Yanco, near Leeton in southern NSW, on April 4 when her car smashed into a telegraph pole and rolled down an embankment.
The mum-of-six and all of her passengers - her sons Nathaniel, 11, Jeremiah, 10, and 12-year-old nephew Malakai Murphy - were killed instantly.
Ms Murphy's partner Dean Cluney, 32, who also uses the surname Ingram, was charged the following day with a string of domestic violence offences police will allege took place in the lead up to the tragedy.
On Thursday, police announced Cluney - who has remained in custody since his arrest - had been charged with allegedly choking a teenage girl around a month before the crash.
