A man shot dead outside the lavish $1.8 million mansion of Pitch Perfect star Adam DeVine's neighbor, was a high-rolling father-of-five from Miami, Florida.

Emil Lahaziel, 39, was 'gunned down' while attending a 'crazy poker game' at the Hollywood Hills West home of a friend June 7 - before he was brutally murdered.

The incident took place just after 2am on Wednesday morning and was observed by DeVine and his wife, Chloe Bridges, as they watched the night unfold from the balcony of their $2.6 million mansion.

DeVine described the horrific murder in great detail on the 'This Is Important' podcast later that same day.

The father-of-five was described by family as a doting father and often posted pictures of his lavish lifestyle with his family in Miami.

'People were rolling up in like Lamborghinis and Bentleys and Rolls Royces and s**t and like old guys, who for sure f**k prostitutes and play cards,' he claimed.

'And I see these dudes and it's like fun to sit and watch, [so] me and my wife, we're sitting up on our balcony, and like, this looks crazy.

Adding: 'This is where it gets sad. Someone was murdered there.'

Lahaziel was later identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner.

He appeared to be a doting father-of-five who wasn't afraid to flash his wealth with images of private jets and sparkling blue poolside shots posted across Instagram.

In the wake of Lahaziel's death his wife was seen posting images of the couple's life together.

A day later, Cohen confirmed Lahaziel's death, posting a notice for the 39-year-old's funeral to be held at Mount Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery June 9.

It read: We regrettably inform that we will be honoring the passing of Emil Lahaziel, son of Yaacov & Golda, husband to Lily, father to Dor, Rom, Liv, Leo & Leni.

In a post on Instagram the mother-of-three posted a picture of herself and Lahaziel with the caption in Hebrew, translated it reads: 'Rest in peace Emil. May you know no more sorrow, be strong my soul.'

Pictures of the pair show Lahaziel and Cohen appearing smitten with one another as they cared for their three children.

DailyMail.com has contacted family for comment. Los Angeles Police Department said that there have been no arrests or suspects taken into custody in connection to the homicide.
