This is the terrifying moment a tractor-trailer was struck and smashed to pieces after it was hit by an oncoming train, making it the third crash in the same spot this year.
The truck's trailer had been lodged on the railroad crossing in Wingate, North Carolina, yesterday when the smash happened, causing the train to derail.
Thankfully no one was hurt during the crash that happened on S. Main Street and officials said no hazardous material was being carried to the tractor-trailer.
A local news report from WSOC-TV said the truck driver had been taken to a police station, after drugs were found in a compartment.
Police said it did not know if the drugs had anything to do with why the truck had been stuck on the track.
