It's the blockbuster scoop that everybody in the media world wants to land – everyone except for Joe Rogan, it seems.

For while Tucker Carlson is offering the Joe Rogan Experience host first crack at an exclusive interview detailing his April ouster from Fox News, sources tell DailyMail.com the interest is not reciprocal.

Insiders say Carlson's people began reaching out to Rogan's producers six weeks ago believing his hugely successful Spotify podcast would be the perfect setting for an unabridged deep dive into the Fox meltdown.

The two men, who boast millions of listeners on their respective platforms are avowed champions of free speech and share a mutual disdain for cancel culture and identity politics.

But a well-placed source told DailyMail.com: 'Joe will simply not respond. He's shown no interest in having Tucker on. It's like crickets.'

The snub comes despite Rogan, who attracts an estimated 11 million listeners per episode, stating on air that he would love to chat with prime-time favorite Carlson.

'I'd be interested in talking to him. I think the whole thing is very fascinating,' Rogan told bowhunter Cameron Hanes on a recent episode.

'He was one of the only guys who was going against the corporate narrative.'

Behind the scenes, the vibe couldn't be more different, according to our insider.

'Tucker wanted it to happen. His people reached out to Rogan's team saying he wanted to come on, he was willing to reveal what went down at Fox, the firing, the aftermath, everything,' added our source.

'They went through producers, his close colleagues, all the right people, and got absolutely no response.

'This has been going on for weeks and weeks. Even Rogan's friends are starting to ask, what is he doing?

'Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan sounds like a match made in heaven - and a ratings bonanza.

'Nobody can figure out why he wants nothing to do with it.'

Carlson was fired in late April just days after Fox announced a $787 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems, which had accused the network's hosts of 'giving life' to a 'manufactured storyline' about voter fraud in the 2020 election.

The suit exposed a trove of awkward internal emails and texts, including messages in which the conservative firebrand said he 'passionately' hated Donald Trump and labeled one senior exec a c***.

Carlson is also at the center of a lawsuit lodged by former booking producer Abby Grossberg who claims she was subjected to bullying, sexism and anti-Semitism while working on his nightly 8pm show, a ratings behemoth
