Now the Senate's youngest Republican woman ever is suffering health issues - Katie Britt is home recovering from a medical scare that left her face numb. 

'While with my family in Montgomery this past weekend, I experienced a sudden onset of numbness in my face,' the 41-year-old freshman senator said in a statement Tuesday. 

She was admitted to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, Alabama, for evaluation where doctors determined her symptoms were likely the result of the swelling of a facial nerve after a post-viral infection.
