A drag queen snared by paedophile hunters who fooled him into thinking he was talking to a teenage boy has been jailed for 34 months.

Andrew Way, whose stage name was Miss Gin, believed he was sending explicit messages to a 14-year-old boy.

The 61-year-old Pride organiser pretended he was 27 and began contacting the 'teenager', not realising a paedophile hunting group had set up the profile and trapped him.

Way - who appeared on Judge Rinder's ITV show in 2019 - was reported to police after their decoy trapped the predator.

The drag artist veteran of more than 40 years sent 'highly sexualised' messages over a chat website, Snapchat and WhatsApp to the decoy.
