A Texas 'sex attacker' was released on a one-dollar bond after he gave a 16-year-old girl alcohol, allowed her to pass out, had sex with her and got her pregnant back in April 2022.
Due to the fact that prosecutors missed the deadline to indict Luis Sanchez, 25, he has been granted release on Thursday, where he will soon be sent to a shelter, under house arrest, and wearing an ankle monitor.
Three months after the teenage girl was allegedly raped by Sanchez, she found out she was pregnant. Her mother took her to the hospital, where she told her that 'Luis drugged me and raped me.'
In the state of Texas, prosecutors are required by law to acquire an indictment with 90 days of a person being detained.
If this does not happen in time, the suspect has to be given a 'reasonable or personal recognizance bond'.
