Monterey crash: Bombshell discovery inside the mangled wreckage of Subaru where ... trends now
A young boy killed alongside his brother in the back of a car being driven by their uncle filmed the vehicle allegedly street-racing moments before the fatal crash.
Jimmy Martin Brito, 33, allegedly lost control and crashed his Subaru WRX while speeding along The Grand Parade in Monterey, in Sydney's south, on August 25.
His nephews Peter, nine, and Xavier Abreu, 10, died at the scene, while a nine-year-old girl in the front seat escaped with minor injuries and Brito was hospitalised.
Now it has emerged that harrowing footage found on a mobile phone inside the wreckage helped police track down the alleged driver of another vehicle who was allegedly involved in the street race.
That driver, Adam Yurun, 24 and his passenger Raquel Borg, 24, were both arrested and charged last week for their alleged roles in the fatal accident, according to The Daily Telegraph.
