A woman has been charged over the alleged cream pie attack on Northern Territory Chief Minister Natasha Fyles.
Ms Fyles, 45, was hit in the face with a cream pastry while at the Nightcliff Markets in northwest Darwin about 11.40am on Sunday.
Police confirmed early on Monday that a 56-year-old woman had been charged with aggravated assault over the incident.
The woman has been bailed to appear in a Darwin Local Court on October 10.
Footage shared by Nine News on social media showed a woman rushing towards an suspecting Ms Fyles as she left a bank and shoving the cream-covered pastry into her face.
