A Victoria man has admitted to waking his wife up from a peaceful slumber in the early hours of the morning to reveal their life-changing $1.7 million win in the weekend's TattsLotto.
The Gippsland residents held one of the three division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4401, drawn Saturday 23 September 2023 and pocketed a total prize of $1,720,294.16.
The duo explained their minds were still racing despite discovering their newfound fortune on Sunday morning.
'Woo-hoo! Wow!' the winning husband cheered.
'How do we feel? Incredibly awesome! On top of the world!
'This is life-changing for us. We've had to stop each other's thoughts from running wild.'
The winning wife couldn't contain her excitement and relayed how the million-dollar discovery came about.
'He came in at 6.10am on Sunday morning and woke me up in a frenzy,' she shared.
'He told me we had won $1.7 million, but he thought it was some sort of scam. I also thought he was joking but then we looked into it together and realised it was real.'
With $1.7 million about to boost their bank account and their future plans, the Victorians were eager to take a step back and relax for years to come.
'Honestly, we
