A heartbroken ex-girlfriend is 'disgusted' after her first love was mowed down and killed in a hit-and-run by a group she believes to be members of a rival gang.

Elijah Agua, 16, was killed after being hit by a car while crossing Chichester Drive at Taylors Lakes, in Melbourne's northwest, just before 7pm on Monday.

Two other boys, aged 15 and 16-years-old, were also struck by the vehicle and taken to the Royal Childrens Hospital in a stable condition with chest injuries.

A homicide investigation has been launched with police believing the teens were deliberately run down in a stolen white Mitsubishi Pajero.

Elijah's ex, Isabelle Emeni, described the death of her first love as 'heartbreaking', saying she's been left 'very angry, it made me feel disgusted'.
