Woman, 42, dies and two others are injured after triple shooting in Hackney trends now
A 42-year-old woman has died and two others have been injured after a shooting in Hackney this evening, the Metropolitan Police said.
Emergency services raced to Vine Close in east London just before 18.30 after receiving reports of a shooting.
Paramedics from London Ambulance Service desperately tried to save the woman but unfortunately she died at the scene.
A 20-year-old man and 16-year-old boy were also rushed to hospital following the attack.
Police have launched a murder investigation into the attack and are trying to contact the woman's next of kin.
Officers will remain at the scene overnight and in the coming days, with Detective Superintendent Vicky Tunstall, from the local police team in Hackney, declaring: 'Gun crime has no place on the streets of London.'
