Trump's Iowa lead grows to largest EVER as he hits 51 percent support - ... trends now
The former president has 51 percent support in the Hawkeye state, according to a Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom poll released on Monday and conducted December 2-7.
Iowa is the first state to hold a contest in the race for the Republican presidential nomination with its caucuses on January 15, followed by New Hampshire's primary elections two weeks later on January 23.
Trump has consistently held the lead in all states where polls have been conducted.

The 32-point lead in the latest Iowa poll is 'the largest recorded so close to a competitive Republican caucus in this Iowa poll's history,' NBC News reports.
The next closest lead to Trump's right now in a Des Moines Register Iowa caucus poll was in 2000 when George W. Bush was beating Steve Forbes by 27 points, according to NBC's Steve Kornacki.
Bush went on to win Iowa, the nomination and the presidency.
Outside of the primary, Trump is also leading current President Joe Biden in general
