Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham mocked the Russian government after being added to the country's terrorist watchlist.
Russia added the South Carolina GOP senator to its 'extremists and terrorists' watchlist after he publicly blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin for 'murdering' his political rival Alexei Navalny.
In response to reports about being added to Russia's terrorist list, Graham posted sarcastically on X: 'There goes all my rubles!'
'I call your 'terrorists and extremists' bid and raise you 'State Sponsor of Terrorism under U.S. law,' Graham wrote in another post. 'Believe it or not, 2024 is going to be a bad year for Putin's Russia.'
He then wrote out a long list of actions the U.S. could take to harm Russia, including by providing more aid and high-end weapons to Ukraine, designating the country as a state sponsor of terrorism and expanding NATO.
Graham's appointment to the list comes just two days after he praised Putin's political rival Alexei Navalny,
