Soon-to-be mum Rhylee Peta Stig, 23, appears to be the typical girl next door in social media photos - the blonde woman flashing a pretty white smile.

But NSW Police allege the 23-year-old former Hunter Valley schoolgirl is also a killer embroiled in Sydney's deadly gang war.

Stig was charged on Thursday over the alleged murder of Ferenc 'David' Stemler, 28, who was gunned down out the front of his home in Canterbury, in Sydney's west.

In gruesome scenes on July 27, Stemler's tattooed body was pictured riddled with bullets lying in the middle of the road, as schoolchildren walked past that morning.

Court documents obtained by Daily Mail Australia reveal that Ms Stig has been charged with Stemler's murder between 1.55am and 2am that day.

It's unclear who police will allege pulled the trigger on Stemler. His death came after he met two men outside his rental home on Broughton St.

Ms Stig - who is from a tight-knit family from East Maitland - was arrested at her home in Wetherill Park at 7.02am on Wednesday.

She was refused police bail
