Four men hospitalised after 'extreme' assault in Colyton, Sydney's west trends now

Police are searching for a group of attackers after four men were assaulted with 'extreme' violence in Sydney's west.

Emergency services were called to Carpenter Street in Colyton, near Penrith, about 11.15pm on Saturday following reports of the assault.

A 20-year-old man suffered severe head injuries and was rushed to Westmead Hospital.

His three friends were also attacked and are receiving hospital treatment.
