Foreign Secretary Lord Cameron has been condemned for 'sniping' at Israel after warning how he was 'deeply concerned' by the Gaza ground offensive.

Conservative MPs are set to challenge him over recent comments at a meeting tomorrow, as they urge him not to 'undermine' Britain's relationship with Israel.

Lord Cameron also told of being 'deeply concerned about the prospect of a military offensive in Rafah' but pro-Israel Tory MPs have been alarmed by his statement.

'Lord Cameron should acknowledge the huge efforts being made by the IDF to minimise civilian casualties and also to facilitate aid to Gaza.'

She described Israel as a 'valued ally of the UK', adding: 'Ministers should take care not to undermine our diplomatic partnership with the only democracy in the Middle East'.
