The father and daughter who own a funeral firm at the centre of a probe into improper care of the dead have been pictured.

Photos showing the company's boss Robert Bush, who heads up a family business, and his employee daughter Saskya Bush together at work in their uniforms have now emerged.

Police conducted a raid and removed 34 bodies after concerns were raised about the conduct of Legacy Independent Funeral Directors in Hull last week.

A 46-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of prevention of a lawful and decent burial, fraud by false representation and fraud by abuse of position, Humberside Police said.

Humberside Police are investigating the firm following a report over concerns about 'storage and management processes relating to care of the deceased'.

The company has been on the brink of being struck off the Companies House register for two years.

The firm's accounts are currently overdue and the company has received its fifth public warning that it faces a 'compulsory strike-off'.

Since January 2022, the undertaker has been receiving warnings that proceedings will begin to dissolve the company and inform creditors it is failing to meet its financial obligations.

On each occasion the firm has won a reprieve and compulsory strike-off action has been discontinued.

But a further First Gazette Notice - issued by Companies House to signal its intention to strike off a company- has just been issued against the firm, dated tomorrow, March 12th.

Despite the issues, the firm continued to trade normally until around 3am last Thursday when a police operation began at the firm's two premises in Hull and one in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

On its website Legacy promises 'the best service and care available'.

The firm states: 'Established in 2010, we have grown from our original Anlaby Rd Branch to incorporate a further 2 branches, including our funeral home in Beverley, East Yorkshire and our latest branch on Hessle Road, Hull. Our structure allows us to provide a dedicated and unsurpassed personal service.

'As an independent Funeral Director, we are able to create a unique farewell for loved ones, with more flexibility and less constraint than our competitors. With such breadth of experience, you and your family are assured the best service and care available.'

Residents have told how police first arrived outside Legacy Funeral Directors in Anlaby Road and Hessle Road, both in Hull, at about 3am on Thursday 7 March - and officers remain at both branches, as well as one in Beverley.

A number of bodies have been removed from the premises on Hessle Road in Hull to the local authority mortuary in Hull, Humberside Police said, while a direct line has been set up for anyone who might be affected.

Assistant Chief Constable Thom McLoughlin said: 'We can confirm that a man, aged 46 and a woman, aged 23 have been arrested on suspicion of prevention of a lawful and decent burial, fraud by
