The front of a Volvo was crumpled up against the exterior of the royal residence on Thames Street in the Berkshire town, with two other vehicles also involved. Officers closed off the road with local buses forced to go on diversion. A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: 'Thames Street, Windsor is currently closed in both directions due to a road traffic collision. It is likely to remain closed for some time. Please find alternative routes if you can.' And a Thames Valley Buses spokesman said: 'Due to the closure of Thames Street, services 2 and 703 will be unable to serve the Windsor Parish Church towards Bracknell/Dedworth. 'Please use Charles Street for service 2 and York House for the 703. We apologise for any disruption caused.'
