It was an event so abysmally organised that police were called to calm furious families.
But now plans are afoot for a Broadway musical based on the shambolic Willy Wonka Experience in Glasgow.
Producer Richard Kraft previously directed Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl in 2017 and produced The Little Mermaid Live show in 2019.
His next planned production, Willy Fest: A Musical Parody, is set to launch this year.

Mr Kraft said: 'While most see nothing but wreckage in a disaster of this magnitude, we all think it screams out: MUSICAL!!
'While it is quite common for there to be writers' rooms in television, taking that approach with theatrical songwriters is fairly unique and likely to produce amazingly satirical and unexpected results.'
He has assembled a talented team of writers and musicians to bring the project to fruition.
The crew includes Riki Lindhome, an Emmy nominee known for the musical group Garfunkel and Oates, and Broadway songwriters Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner.
