President Joe Biden will sign an executive order on Monday for more government funding that focuses on women's health, spending $200 million next year to better understand issues including reproductive challenges and midlife conditions like menopause.
The White House calls it the 'most comprehensive' action by a president on women's health research and it comes at a time Biden if heavily courting female voters to support him in the 2024 election.

Women make up half the population but their health has been long been understudied. It wasn't until the 1990s that the federal government mandated women be included in federally funded medical research.
'For far too long women's health research has been underfunded and understudied,' said Dr. Carolyn Mazure, the head of the White House initiative on women's health.
'We still know too little about how to effectively prevent, diagnose and treat a wide array of health conditions in women.'
