A single father from the UK may need to prepare for 'a full inspection' from the parents of her daughter's friend before a sleepover is arranged.

The man questioned the behavior in a Reddit post on March 18 after his daughter, 8, was hoping to have a sleepover.

'She asked if she can have one of her friends over for a sleepover and the weekend and I said it was fine,' he wrote.

He decided to speak with her friend's mom after his daughter asked for permission to have the sleepover.

'She seemed pretty hesitant at first, but after a lot of pleading from her daughter she said she would allow it if her an her husband could come to my place for half an hour to inspect my house,' he wrote.
