Natalie Barr has applauded a restaurant for banning children from its dinner service - despite being a mother herself.
Kin Dining and Bar, located in Marrickville, in Sydney's Inner West, has a strict 18+ policy after 5pm on weekdays and weekends.
The blanket no-children policy received a mixed response on social media, with some saying the ban was 'discrimination'.
Restaurant owner Peter Wu defended the policy on Thursday, saying some people wanted a dining experience without disturbances.
'We have all encountered dinners where you get together with your partner or your family and you're sat beside a table with a screaming toddler, an impatient child or just a loud iPad,' Mr Wu explained on Barr's Sunrise show.
Barr, a mother of two boys, aged 18 and 22, surprisingly welcomed the no-children policy
'I have had kids, mine are grown now, but I am with you. Sometimes you just want to go out without them and you don't want to see other people's,' she said.
