Ruby Franke wrote 'I will not feed a demon' in journal as she starved and ... trends now

YouTube 'mommy blogger' Ruby Franke wrote 'I will not feed a demon' in sadistic diaries she kept as she starved and tortured her children. 

The 42-year-old was sentenced to up to 30 years in prison in February for brutally abusing her 12-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter in a 'concentration camp-like setting'.

Doorbell camera footage captures the moment the boy managed to escape the torture and alert a neighbor to their suffering, while another clip shows a cop discovering the girl crouched down in a closet. 

Franke's horrifying diary entries were released Friday by the Washington County Attorney along with sickening images of the injuries she inflicted on her kids.

The photos show the two emaciated victims with infected cuts on their legs, duct tape around their arms and feet and scratches and bruises on their bodies. 

Franke detailed months of daily abuse that included starving her son and nine-year-old daughter, forcing them to work for hours in the summer heat and isolating them from the outside world.

She often made the kids sleep on hard floors and sometimes locked them in a concrete bunker in the basement.

Franke insists repeatedly in her journal that her son is possessed by the devil. In a July 2023 entry titled 'Big day for evil,' she describes holding the boy's head under water and closing off his mouth and nose with her hands. 

Franke tells him the devil will lie and say she is hurting him but that she is actually trying to save him.

She later justifies withholding food and water from her son, writing, 'I will not feed a demon.'

The disgraced YouTuber also wrote how her son 'refuses to do wall sits - he says he is done', the day before saying he 'is to stay outside. Sleep outside.'

Often including writings of the Devil or 'possession,' she added that another child, noted as 'E' in the heavily redacted document, 'refuses to work. Screams. Has hair shaved off.' 

The Utah mom-of-six displayed religious fanaticism throughout the diary as she wrote often of punishing her kids because she believed they were 'possessed' by the devil.

In one instance, she said her young son was gripped by 'Satanic chaos', and said her children were suffering from 'deviant behavior'.

'They are both furious their selfish sinful lifestyle is being intervened upon,' Franke wrote in another diary entry. 

When they were saved from her home, the children said they were punished and tortured by their mother as a way to help them.

The mom wrote that R was 'in and out of possession', and that she told him 'that he needs God. I invited him to fast and pray.'

Franke also wrote of her children 'stealing water' and depriving them of food, and said she 'cut more (hair) off E's head. We doused her w/ water in the dog wash.'

She wrote that her children 'have been spawns of Satan', and said when one of her kids tried to run away, she 'screamed for another family, water, food, care, love.'

On July 10, 2023, she wrote: 'It's (R's) birthday. He doesn't even know what month it is.'

She claimed E and R were in 'so much deviant behavior they won't control their bodily functions', adding: 'They are both furious their selfish sinful lifestyle is being intervened upon.'

'I told (R) he imitates a snake. He slithers, sneaks around looking for opportunities when no one is watching, then he scurries,' she wrote on the birthday diary.

The next day, Franke began by writing that it was a 'Big day for evil.'

'(R) was told to stand in the sun w/ his sun hat/ He is defiant, 'No.' I tell him a couple more times. (R), or should his say his demon, stays in the shade.'
