'This monster is never coming to our country': Home Secretary James Cleverly ... trends now

Home Secretary James Cleverly today furiously dismissed depraved Josef Fritzl's reported wish to move to Britain if he is ever let out of prison.

The 88-year-old Austrian has been jailed since 2009 after holding his daughter Elisabeth captive in his cellar for 24 years between 1984 and 2008.

He raped her thousands of times and fathered her seven children as she endured years of unimaginable misery in the Austrian town of Amstetten.

Fritzl is now able to apply for release and has reportedly said he dreams of moving to the UK after seeing a documentary about Shakespeare in his high-security prison.

He is claimed to have expressed a desire to 'roam free on the wild Highlands of Scotland' and to visit the 'lush green fields of Wales'.

But, responding to the reports, Mr Cleverly vowed: 'This monster is never coming to our country.

'Any attempt to travel to the UK will be refused – as it would be for anyone convicted of serious sex offences like this.'

According to The Sun, he said: 'I was filled with this wonderful, uplifting feeling, this sense of inspiration for this fantastic culture.

'And it was then I knew that when I get released, it is not Austria I want to stay, rather I want to emigrate to the UK.

'Above all I want to roam free on the wild Highlands of Scotland.'

He added in an interview: 'For me the lush green fields of Wales are also very, very appealing. But the main thing is — it's to the United Kingdom that I am headed.'
