Horror as man falls down a drain while trying to retrieve his phone trends now By Olivia Day For Daily Mail Australia Published: 21:04 GMT, 25 March 2024 | Updated: 21:10 GMT, 25 March 2024 Viewcomments A man has become trapped underground for 36 hours after he fell down a storm drain while trying to retrieve his phone. A Kangaroo Point resident heard the man screaming for help from inside the storm water network in Brisbane's CBD on Monday night. It's understood the man was forced to drink rainwater to survive and spent most of his time in the drain crawling around on his hands and knees. Fire crews at the scene were able to cut the drain and pull the man to safety. He was rushed to the Mater Hospital in the city's south where he was treated for hypothermia and some cuts and abrasions. More to come.
