Watch the shocking moment pupils are 'crushed' at the school gate, as one child revealed he suffered two black eyes 'from other students' shoes'.

Gordano School in Portishead, near Bristol claimed that the gate had not opened in time for the end of the day, leading to a surge of pupils trying to push through. 

The video which was shared on social media showed the dramatic scene of pupils clambering on top of one another, and screaming to get out as more tried to push through the gate from behind.  

One father of a year 9 student said how his son came home with two black eyes and shoe imprints on parts of his body, having only learnt about the incident from his son.
