Former President Barack Obama followed President Joe Biden down the small stairs off Air Force One and guided him toward the Beast as the duo arrived Thursday to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Obama, alongside former President Bill Clinton who lives in New York, will join Biden onstage Thursday night for a glitzy New York City fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall.

The event is expected to bring in $25 million.

On the flight Obama could be heard briefly saying hello to the White House press corps, as press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters the conversation was off the record.

Obama's involvement with the Biden campaign comes after several reports said the 62-year-old ex-president has been sounding the alarm about Biden's reelection prospects.
