A woman fell into a flooded drain during as wild weather lashed Victoria - but no one could hear her screams for help over the roar of the water.
The 58-year-old fell just before 9pm on Monday and ended up in the Raglan St drain in Daylesford.
She got swept away in fast water for a while until she reached a spot where the water was up to her neck.
There, she grabbed onto a metal pole and yelled for help, but nobody could hear her because of the loud water.
After struggling against the strong water for a while, the woman managed to get back to the slope and climb to safety.
She managed to walk to her friend's house nearby - and was treated for minor cuts and bruises.
Almost 500 requests for help were made to emergency services as thunderstorms, damaging winds and heavy rain pummelled the state.
