A queens homeowner came out swinging a baseball bat after a porch pirate fell into his trap by trying to steal packages on the doorstep which were empty. 

Carlos Mejia was sick and tired of thieves snatching delivery boxes from his front porch, so he set up a pile of decoy parcels to lure them into a trap.

Security footage caught the dramatic moment a suspected porch pirate approach the home to nab the boxes, but not before Mejia emerged from his home swinging a baseball bat.

As the man tried to shove the packages in his backpack, Mejia confronted the panicked man who screamed, 'oh s***, yo yo yo.'

Mejia demanded 'what you got in there,' as he restrained the suspected thieve with his hand.
