Former Liberal staffer and alleged rapist Bruce Lehrmann has moved out of the $2,000-a-week Sydney unit he lived in rent-free for a year courtesy of the Seven Network.

The 28-year-old was spotted moving boxes and a set of golf clubs out of his Balgowlah home on Friday afternoon with friend Rob Porter.

It is the first occasion Mr Lehrmann has been seen in public since his defamation trial against Channel 10 and Lisa Wilkinson was spectacularly reopened to hear the evidence of a former Network Seven Spotlight producer.

Ms Wilkinson broke the story on the The Project of former colleague Brittany Higgins' allegations she was raped by Mr Lehrmann in Parliament House in 2019 - a claim he has always denied.

Network Seven previously confirmed it would stop paying Mr Lehrmann's rent as of Friday after the year-long $100,000 deal made in return for an interview with the network's flagship current affairs program Spotlight concluded.

He appeared to be making the most of his last week in the luxury digs with a barefoot blonde spotted vaping on his balcony on Sunday and Mr Lehrmann making a trip to Paddington on Monday to meet up with two friends including Mr Porter.

The Seven Network has hit back at allegations made in court by former producer Taylor Auerbach relating to expenses covered on behalf of Bruce Lehrmann ahead of his interview with Spotlight.

Mr Auerbach told the Federal Court on Thursday he was offered a promotion and a pay rise after he used a corporate credit card to purchase Thai massages for himself and the former Liberal staffer.

Mr Lehrmann has denied receiving a massage.

In a statement, which was also sent to all staff on Thursday night, Seven said the company is 'appalled' by the allegations, denying any offer of a pay rise or promotion to Mr Auerbach.

'Seven is appalled by the allegations made in recent days. We do not condone the behaviours described in these allegations. They do not reflect the culture of Seven,' the statement said.

'Seven did not offer a promotion or pay rise to Mr Auerbach in November 2022, nor did it do so at any time after that.'
