The shut-down means users will no longer be able to play downloaded shows on desktops with the Desktop Downloads app for BBC iPlayer. Users will still be able to continue to stream on-demand and live shows on the online website. The change, which begins on April 8, will not impact the mobile app on Android and iOS, however.
