The father of a four-week-old baby who was found lifeless in his cot with 37 fractures and died eight days after his neck was 'snapped' has been jailed for life.

Michael Davis, 29, has been jailed for life with a minimum term of 22 years for murdering his four-week-old son Ollie Davis, who was left to die from a broken neck at his Leicester home.

Ollie Davies was pronounced dead at 7.30am on October 21, 2017, after being discovered in a bedroom he shared with his parents in Upper Temple Walk, Leicester.

Jurors cleared Ollie's mother, Kayleigh Driver, of murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent, but found her guilty of charges of causing or allowing the death of a child and causing or allowing serious physical injury.
