The prices of drinks at the Grand National have been revealed, as racegoers react to the cost of their favourite tipple.

The Grand National is one of the biggest horse races in the world and Britain's most iconic jump race.

Jockeys and horses that manage to complete the very difficult task of winning the 34 entry race are immediately given legendary status.

But, for the thousands of punters who will be attending the three-day event, one thing will surely be on their minds - the cost of a drink.

From draught to bottled beers, spirits, Prosecco and wine, read below to find out how much each drink will set you back.

Prices will range from £2.75 for a soft drink to £7.50 for a pint of Madri. Spirits are on offer starting from £6.75, meanwhile, the Liverpool Echo have revealed.

To get a cocktail such as an Espresso Martini or Strawberry Mule, that will cost punters £13.

A bottle of wine is priced at £37.50, a bottle of Prosecco is £46, while a Gobillard Brut Champagne is £85.

Earlier this week it was revealed that a 'ring of steel' will protect this Saturday's Grand National from disruptive animal rights protestors - with olice deploying specialist undercover behaviour experts to monitor the crowds.

Senior officers are keen to avoid a repeat of scenes at last year's horse race when activists stormed the track and attempted to glue themselves to fences.
