A daredevil Colorado skier has been killed after trying to jump 40 feet across a busy highway, only to fall short and land on the road.
Dallas LeBeau, 21, died in the 'high risk stunt' over the US 40 highway on Berthoud Pass on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to reports of an unconscious man at around 3pm.
Despite a bystander's desperate attempts at CPR, LeBeau was pronounced dead at the scene.
'He wanted to do things that nobody else had done. He always said his birthday was the same day as Evil Knievel,' childhood friend Devin Shirk told FOX31, referring to the famous motorcycle stuntman.
