A 30-year-old NYC start-up founder has died three days after being hit by a Range Rover steps away from her home on the Upper East Side.
Sophia D'Antoine, founder of Margin Research, died on Friday after being rushed to hospital in critical condition and clinging onto life for several days.
The 72-year-old driver of a 2017 black Range Rover hit the woman as she was crossing York Avenue at East 8th Street at around 9:30pm on Tuesday as the rain drenched NYC's busy roads.
The motorist, who has not been named, struck the woman, swerved into a yellow taxi head-on and knocked the vehicle into an unoccupied 2022 Ford Explorer SUV, according to NYPD.
