Bruce Lehrmann's cocky attitude towards the justice system can be summed up in a cringeworthy video of him singing 'I Fought the Law' last year.

The best-known recording of the song was released by The Clash in 1979 and features the lyrics 'I needed money 'cause I had none; I fought the law and the law won'.

Footage showed Lehrmann sitting on stool in a kitchen and belting out his own version of the jukebox favourite with a drink in his hand.

'I fought the law and... Bruce won!' Lerhmann sang as he tapped his feet and pointed towards the camera.
