A mass shooting outside a New Orleans nightclub left a 24-year-old woman dead and 11 injured on Sunday night.

Jezreel Aquilla Poleate was identified as the young woman who was killed outside The Republic NOLA, a popular live music venue in the center of New Orleans, NOLA.com reported.

'She was my only daughter,' Sharon Poleate, 64, said Thursday. 'She was loving, friendly, fashionable and she never met a stranger.'

Friends of Poleate told the local outlet she was among the group that was targeted by the shooter outside the club.

Authorities have also not released any information on the suspect nor the motive for the shooting.

The shooting happened at around 11:56pm, and of the eleven who were injured, six were women and five were men, according to the New Orleans Police Department. No information on them has been made available other than the fact that they've been taken to the hospital.
