The woman was seen performing oral sex act on the man while the pair was perched on the narrow shoal in the middle of the Maroochy River, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Footage of the shocking incident was uploaded to a local Maroochydore Instagram page on Tuesday, with the caption: 'When in Rome (Maroochy River Bank)'. The woman, wearing swimmers, was captured performing the daring act on the man, who appeared to be wearing a green sweatshirt and black shorts. At one stage during the lewd act, the man appeared to check his watch. Dozens of social media users flooded the post with comments and saw the funny side of the outlandish behaviour. 'Love island,' one person wrote. 'Sunny coast is feeling more and more like the Gold Coast every year,' another said. 'So did he say "yes"?' a third asked, noting the scene almost resembled a proposal. Others, however, expressed their disgust and said the couple should have been aware of families who were visiting the area. 'If I had kids and they saw that I'd be furious. It's just respect for other people,' one person wrote. A spokeswoman from Queensland Police told Daily Mail Australia the incident was not reported to officers and they are unable to provide comment. Incidents considered indecent acts that have previously been brought before the courts in the sunshine state include exposing genitals in public, performing sexual acts on another person, and public masturbation. These sexual offences are referred to as indecent acts as they do not necessarily involve touching. Anyone found guilty of the offence can be jailed for up to two years. Last month, disturbing footage emerged of a couple having sexual intercourse inside the disabled toilets in the Sunshine Plaza, also at Maroochydore. No one was charged following the incident and the footage of the act, uploaded to Instagram, was later taken down.
