Kerry Kennedy, who will led the famous political family's endorsement of President Joe Biden on Thursday, said there is no competition when it comes to carrying on the Kennedy legacy.

'Nobody competes with President Biden when it comes to carrying on the legacies of John Kennedy and Robert Kennedy and Ted Kennedy,' she said on ABC's Good Morning America.

Her words were a subtle dig at Robert Kennedy Jr., a family member who's making an independent bid for the White House. Many Democrats worry his run could hurt Biden in crucial battleground states in November, taking votes away from the president and handing a victory to Donald Trump.

Kerry Kennedy avoided direct criticism of her brother, noting the family loves him, but the family has made it clear for months they are supporting Biden.

'In a big family, you have to love everybody, but you don't have to like them. In our family, we love Bobby and we like him, but that's not what this race is about,' she said.

At least 15 members of the most-storied political family in America will join Biden at an event in Philadelphia to show their support for their fellow Irish American.

'The point here today is electing Joe Biden. It is a two-man race. There's only two people in this race who can get to 270 electoral votes,' Kerry Kennedy said.

The event caps Biden's three-day campaign swing in the critical battleground state, where polls show he and Trump are essentially tied. Each man needs the state to win the White House.

But it also shows how seriously Biden's re-election campaign sees Robert Kennedy Jr.'s candidacy as a threat to the president's quest for a second term.

Polls have indicated that Kennedy could draw support away from Biden - enough to make a difference in the swing states that will decide the next president.

Kerry Kennedy made clear the family was endorsing Biden so Trump would not win a second term. The family has called Robert Kennedy Jr.'s candidacy 'dangerous.'

'This is the most important election of my lifetime,' she said.

'We are up against Donald Trump who says he's going to be a dictator on day one, who lays claim to overturning Roe V. Wade, who has said he wants to change the constitution in order to go after his enemies and his critics. The list goes on and on and on. So we must elect President Biden, and that is where all our energy has to be.'
