Donald Trump was joined by loyal aide Margo Martin on Friday as he made his way to court for the fourth day of his historic hush money trial.

The former president, 77, stepped out of Trump Tower with his communications staffer and got into a motorcade in preparation for the last part of the gruelling jury selection process.

He gave a wave and a fist bump to the waiting crowd of fans and photographers as he walked across the sidewalk while Martin was looking at her phone.

The full panel of 12 that will decide his fate has already been chosen, but the court needs six alternates in case someone drops out.

On Thursday night he left the court and tore into the 'scam' case where he is accused of hiding a $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels to keep her quiet about their alleged affair.

He has denied 34 charges of falsifying business records, and says every legal experts thinks the allegations are a stretch. 

Following three days of legal wrangling a panel of seven men and five women has now been selected and they will assess his guilt or innocence over the coming weeks.

Moments after the last of the 12 was selected Judge Juan Merchan declared 'We have our jury' and they were ushered out of the courtroom.

On the way they passed Trump who had his elbows on the table and looked at the dozen New Yorkers who will rule over his future.

The jurors include a corporate lawyer, an investment banker, a software engineer and a teacher.

One of the female jurors called the ex-president 'selfish' as she was questioned about her opinions in court.

The jury foreman, when questioned about where he gets his news from, said Dailymail.com, among other outlets.

After the jury was picked Trump stepped outside court and vented his frustration at the trial process, wielding a thick pile of media clippings.
