New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez's wife Nadine Arslanian has told friends she fears she'll go to jail because she doesn't have enough cash for a legal team.
The New York Post reported Friday on Arslanian's financial woes - as she faces up to 45 years in prison for charges related to an alleged bribery scheme involving the Qatari and Egyptian governments.
Arslanian's trial was delayed due to her having an unspecified 'serious medical condition' meaning Menendez will be tried first in May, while Arslanian will be tried in July.
Court documents released this week to The Post showed that Menendez could 'inculpate' his wife, with his lawyers arguing that she 'withheld information' that something illegal was taking place when the couple traded gold bars and cash for political favors.
