This is the shocking moment a bike-riding thief snatched a man's mobile phone out of his hand in London's Park Lane. 

Video footage shows a cyclist riding in the middle of Park Lane, London and turning off the road to ride on the path.

An unsuspecting pedestrian can be seen walking along while holding his phone. 

The cyclist then seems to carefully line their bike up with the man before appearing to swoop past him and swipe the phone out of his hands. 

Onlookers nearby watch as the man tries to run after the bike rider before eventually giving up.

The cyclist, dressed all in black, can be seen cruising away into traffic.
