Bizarre surveillance footage has revealed the moment a woman gave her uncle's corpse a cup of water before attempting to take out a loan under his name at a bank in Brazil.

The video, which was aired by Brazilian news magazine show Fantastico on Sunday, showed Erika de Souza, 42, pushing Paulo Braga, 68, in a wheelchair moments before paramedics declared him dead last Tuesday.

The new security camera recorded de Souza standing next to Braga before she walked away to use the restroom. A bank employee could then be seen leaving her seat and walking over to support Braga's head after it tilted backwards.

De Souza, a mother-of-six, returned six minutes later with a cup of water, but Braga remained motionless.

She would then approach another bank employee's desk and tried to get Braga to sign the documents for the $3,250 loan, all of this captured in a viral video recorded by one of the workers.

De Souza could be heard in the footage telling Braga, 'Uncle, are you listening? You need to sign.'

The bankers were perturbed with her behavior and called the police, who arrested her on the scene.

The surveillance cameras also recorded de Souza wheeling her uncle to an office at the bank branch and paramedics arriving before they gave him CPR.

An autopsy showed that Braga's death was caused by 'bronchoaspiration and heart failure.'

Rio de Janeiro Civil Police investigators found that he was already dead before arriving at the bank. Paramedics noted that cadaver marks that were
