A home for sale on Rightmove has been slammed online by potential buyers for its 'hideous' and 'distasteful' furniture - with some even offering to pay to have it removed and set alight.

The four-bedroom detached property in Coleshill, near Birmingham, is on the market for £399,950 and while from the outside it may look normal enough, photographs of its interior left prospective buyers horrified.

Among the items to have generated heated comments are dining chairs featuring door knockers on the back; a nude woman made of mirrored mosaic and a huge stag champagne holder.

Other touches include a grizzly bear statue, a set of mirrored skulls, telephone box shelves and a four-poster bed with white drapes.

In the dining room there are some stacked plastic suitcases with fake candles on top.

One of the bedrooms contains a silver bed with matching drawers while another bedroom has a mirrored mosaic figure peering towards anyone sleeping there.

Users of Reddit were scathing in their reviews with one fuming: 'Wow, a cornucopia of terrible taste. So classy even the chairs have door knockers.'

Another exclaimed: 'Those chairs in the bottom photo are absolutely hideous,' while another added: 'They look like a cross between torture device and a commode.'

One responded: 'They remind me of dentist chairs. Absolutely vile.'

Agents for the property revealed that the current owners are moving abroad and were willing to consider including the furniture for the right price.

But one potential buyer insisted: ''No fu**ing thank you. I'll pay more for them to remove it all and set it on fire.

'Great house. Horrendous furniture. All that light and shiny surfaces that you'd never finish dusting.'
