An Oklahoma man has been charged with the murder of his nine-month-old baby boy 15 months after he was charged with assault for beating up his pregnant girlfriend.
Hunter Smiley, 25, had already been arrested by police in January 2023 for beating up the infant's mother while still pregnant with their unborn son.
At the time, Smiley was charged with domestic assault and battery against a pregnant woman.
He pled guilty to hitting the mother using pieces of a door he had broken while in a fight following a night drinking.
But now murder charges have been filed against Smiley following the death earlier this month, of the couple's baby boy, named Briggs.
